Coach Patrick Nicholas is nationally recognized for his training and development of volleyball players at all levels. He has 30+ years of volleyball experience in coaching, training, and competing at the collegiate, junior, USA National Team, professional and international level. Coach Nicholas has extensive experience with USA Volleyball serving as a Technical Assistant Coach with the USA Women’s National Team and, as Head Coach, Director of Tryouts and Assistant Coach with the USA Volleyball High-Performance Programs. He has been the Head Coach for the Girl’s 14 & Under Team that took the Silver Medal at its first international (16 & Under) tournament. In addition, Coach Nicholas served as Director of Tryouts for the USA Girl’s Junior & Youth National Teams along with the Girl’s 14 & Under Team. He has also served as Assistant Coach for the USA Women’s National A-2 Team. At the collegiate level, Coach Nicholas has served as the Women’s Head Coach at Lehigh University (1997-2004), in seven seasons he became the school’s all-time winningest coach. At Ohio State University (1995-1997) he helped the Buckeyes to two NCAA Regional “Sweet 16” appearances and Top Ten national rankings. As Head Men’s Coach at the US Naval Academy (1985-1990), he led the Midshipmen to their first ever top 25 national ranking. At the professional level, he served as Assistant Coach and filled in as Head Coach during the playoffs of the League Champion – San Diego Spikers.
Patrick Nicholas’s High Performance Volleyball Academy Camps & Clinics hopes to promote the sport of volleyball. We strive to give correct fundamental technical movement training with proper bio-mechanics at each level of the game.
Our staff works to provide a fun, safe learning environment for each participant.
The number one goal is that each player leaves with a greater love of volleyball.
According to NCAA rules and regulations, all camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants regardless of skill level (limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender).
